Three things I thank God for:
-
DD made the move to Hville safe and sound, with good help;
-
What first appeared to be a skin blemish turned out not to be;
-
Friends confirmed to spend Christmas with us, arriving Mon.
¶ Found my iPad mini Mom bought for me years ago, charged it up. Might use it for my sermon notes tomorrow.
¶ Started reading several books at once, one by LaGard Smith, Male Spiritual Leadership. His style seems wordy to me. Will try to stick it out. The subject is needed.
¶ Are you thinking about 2026 yet? Now that we're getting settled in after our trip, it's on my mind. No ideas yet, however.
¶ Was just thinking the other day, I've never bought a cellphone. Mom gave me her fliptop, my first; Son2 gave me two in succession after his employer provided him new ones. I'm good.
¶ Did I say how much I hate cellphones? I pretty much live on my notebook. (That's what Brazilians call them; I use “laptop” mostly.) Oh, and please don't throw another app at me. Everybody is doing them.
¶ To end on a positive note: Somebody commented Wed. night how easy we have it in these modern days. So true. Technology, medicines, travel, options, communication, information, food. The list is long of things readily available to us. Give thanks.
