My verse(s) for today:
For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living. Romans 14.9, Berean Literal Bible (2016).
.1. The BLB, at least, a decade ago, translated this text literally, rendering the last verb as “rule.” The BibleHub site now shows it as having been changed. It's a testimony that Christ now reigns. Sorry, but no future reign on earth. HT: Kevin Moore.
.2. Yesterday was a better day, today was good. Maybe things are improving. Sorry for the vagueness. No need really to be more specific.
.3. My exhortation yesterday seemed to resonate with the saints, even though the outline was pulled out almost at the last minute from an article done some time ago. Has been hard to concentrate, what with everything going on.
.4. Urgently need to get out a newsletter and the May issue of the magazine.
.5. Joined a social site where the rule is to write always in iambic meter. Have written a good bit there, but it doesn't seem to be very popular. Not that popularity matters ...
.6. So here goes an iambic couplet: Your parents may abandon you, alone; / But God will always welcome you in his home.
.7. In his ezine, “Hugh's News & Views”, Hugh McCord wrote today about the growth of the gospel in Africa, mentioning C.A.O. Essien. Moving story. Praying the Spirit moves sincere hearts to find and follow the truth, as well as men, women, and congregations of all sizes to announce Christ to those who are following false religions.
