Misskey couplets

Have been writing couplets lately, the perfect form for the internet, on an instance of Misskey that Chris has spun up for me. Most are proper five-meter lines and rhyming, or almost so. Some take a spiritual turn, others not. Here's a set, each one independent of the others.

Good morning, humans, goats and cats and dogs --
And ETs too, who're reading our earthly blogs.

To speak in verse might be a gift, or learning;
And, perhaps, from unpleasant subjects running?

To you, fine morning, full of joy and light,
Rejoice in God, and in his powerful might.

The morning has arrived, and with it I
Decide to live for God who rules on high.

What satisfaction comes from working ahead!
Such preparation makes a softer bed.

Of sweeping statements that say too much, beware!
They may involve you in an unpleasant affair.

It's time to pack the bags, check the list,
And do review to see just what I missed.

The sun is life -- rejoice to see it rise!
Christ is the sun, he's risen before our eyes.

That should be enough, right, to get the idea of it. Come follow and join me at @jazmat@key.talesofmy.life.
