High winds and storms

God be thanked that

  1. the high winds and storms in the region have not affected us here;

  2. some problems for a family member have been resolved quickly;

  3. the Bible has something to say to us every day, and for every situation.

¶ If all goes well, tonight's meeting will be the big step in creating the Project Reach Association as a legal entity. It will be our publishing organization, and under it will fall our websites, the annual Festival, and other teaching efforts.

¶ The association is being created especially for when I'm gone. That was my appeal to those assembled last April. They took up the challenge.

¶ Association is a good word. See numerous groups in the New Testament that came together to work for the gospel. That's us.

¶ The phrase that best captures what we do is “a service of teaching.” It applies to those outside of the Body of Christ and those who have entered Christ. My greatest gift, they tell me, is that of teaching.

¶ The text of 2 Timothy 2.2 enters into this as well. Teaching ought to be a chain. Or is it a chain reaction?
