God be thanked:
- For his mercy and kindness shown in so many ways in my life -- in all of our lives.
- For health even at this age, for as long as it may last.
- For the relative ease of travel these days, compared to a hundred or more years ago.

¶ This is one of the best articles, for me, that I've written in recent times, as I search for the person with these qualities. (In Portuguese.)
¶ With God, ritual doesn't get it. He derives no pleasure from people going through the motions. “Sacrifices” offered up without the heart along with it are sickening to him. Let our people learn. Let me remember this. Read Isaiah 1, for starters.
¶ Obedience is easy. Controlling the will is the hard part. Lucky for us, the Spirit of God and the example of Christ make it entirely possible.
¶ Old people tend to repeat themselves. If it's about the gospel, that is good. So let me repeat: God did it all first; we get to receive by faith and obedience, in marveled response, all that he has prepared for us.
¶ Lord permitting, Missus and I take flight on Saturday. Pray we travel well and bless someone.
