Two trips to the hospital today

  1. Reading Lance Mosher’s new book, Searching for Brandon Bason, liking it a lot. Holds my interest well.

  2. Two trips to the hospital today for a friend. I waited out in the car, as he shuffled family members back and forth. Nothing COVID-related, for those who are curious.

  3. Over halfway through 1 Peter in our weekly online studies. With the lockdown, we started three different series per week. Now down to one.

  4. Mom has officially moved into her new home. She slept there last night, happy to finally have her own place.

  5. A quote from Mike B.: “How can we read the stories of the apostles and other Christian evangelists, not to mention the prophets and faithful from Old Testament times, observing their sacrifices, suffering, and extreme labors in God’s service, and still expect to avoid any real cost of our own discipleship?”

  6. An original verse: For love we open to hurt, and hurt we will, / The need for love is greatest; we open still.

  7. A Bible verse: “Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?” Hebrews 12.25.
