Say no

  1. Warren Buffett said, “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.” I’m learning.

  2. It’s not that I’m trying to be a billionaire, but to do a good work in the Kingdom. A few principles apply from one area to the next, but I’m usually loathe to use illustrations from business in the spiritual realm.

  3. Jesus told business parables with spiritual applications, so we can do that, too, if we’re aware of the big difference in the two, especially the One we worship.

  4. Final details can wind up dragging out a project to the point of frustration. Anticipate them. Plan for them.

  5. Perfection is the enemy of the good and the finished. The secret is in knowing when good is good enough.

  6. An original verse: Say no to sin, say no to all the rest / That isn’t your gift, so you can do your best.

  7. A Bible verse: “After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions” Lk 2.46 NET.
