Our Choice

The heated talk’s of slavery, present and past,
And who owes what to whom in reparations;
While none concern themselves with hard addictions,
Or caring for the heart or loves misplaced.

Each one to something is a devoted slave:
We are not free — we’re not our own life’s master;
Our choice is who we’ll make our guiding pastor:
The devil who’ll damn our souls, or God who’ll save.

Choose well, my friend, and make your choice today.
Who will you serve? You cannot please them both.
One you will love, but toward the other loath.
Decide for God — decide! — do not delay.

    What say you?
