Exception to the Rule

I am the great exception to the rule,
The law was made for others — I’m no fool.
I make my own decisions, I am wise;
I’ll not let Satan take me by surprise.
I’m in control! I’ve open eyes to see;
My God forgives and, more than most, spares me.
